Adding Values to a Product

Values are added to a product using a specific Method, depending on the settings.

Attribute Values	Description
Clear	All attribute values are removed.
Keep unchanged	Existing values remain unchanged.
Replace with default	All values are replaced with the default template.
Only if empty	Only empty values are replaced with the default template.

Substitution values are taken from the Default Template, if it is not empty.

Attribute values can be edited directly in the tree node using the inline editor, just like in the product form.

If the Add category attribute to products option is disabled, the Adding attribute values to a product settings will not take effect.

When Values Are Added

Actions that trigger the addition or modification of an Attribute Value in a product:

• adding an attribute to a category;
• linking a product to a category;
• applying the Category Attributes tool;
• clicking the Category Attributes button in the product form.
